How to Customise Risk Workflow in the SoftComply Risk Manager?

Cloud:

  • In Cloud platform you have two types of risk projects:

    • Issue type based projects. In this case, risks are defined with specific issue type. Thus the workflow can be changed as you like (there are no limitations to workflow).

    • Resolution type-based projects. Risks are all the issues with no limitations from issue type. In that case you have to consider the limitation: The SoftComply Risk Table displays only those risks that have no Resolution field value. Thus read below server section to fully understand the limitation.

Data Center:

Before you change a workflow of a Risk Project, please note the following feature of the SoftComply Risk Manager :

  • The SoftComply Risk Table displays only those risks that have no Resolution field value.
Here is how the Resolution value is used in the SoftComply Risk Projects: if you want to delete a risk and you click on the “Delete” button in the Risk Table, then the selected risk is transitioned to the “Done” state, i.e. the Resolution field value of the issue is set to “Done”, and the risk is no longer displayed in the table!

  • When you are customising your risk workflow, please remember to use only the Resolution state “Done” and please do not use any other Resolution and transition value.
In case you have decided to use more Resolution field values, then please be aware that the risks with “Resolution not NULL” will not be displayed in the Risk Table.

Other than that feel free to create any workflows as you need.

In the simple risk workflow diagram below, you can see how a risk may be transitioned from the “New Risk” state into “In Mitigation”, “Mitigated” and “Done” states. Once the risk is transitioned to the “Done” state, the Resolution of the issue will be set to “Done” and the risk will no longer be visible in the Risk Table.
