General principles of how you can win with the script apps

Different companies manage their project and product risks quite differently. Because of that, some of the data that you may want to see about your risks may not be displayed by default in the Risk Management Table view. Yet. We are constantly adding new features to the SoftComply Risk Manager but until then, we suggest you try out the scripting apps.

Problem - I need to have certain risk data visible in the Risk Table! It might be an unsupported field (other apps' fields e.g. Insight, ScriptRunners calculated fields, etc) or automated calculations of some new values.

General solution:

  • Create a supported field/column (destination field) to the Risk Table and update its value with a script! For example, display certain Insight field values (source field) in the Risk Table by keeping the field values in sync. Each time the source field is changed, the issue event listener script will also update the destination field. The destination field will be displayed in the Risk Table.
